Every Grain One begins as a plank of Taiwanese walnut, air-dried through four winters until it forgets the dampness of the forest. We cut each cabinet from a single board, so the grain flows unbroken around every corner — the way a melody should.

Inside, nothing is rushed. The crossover is voiced by ear, in the evening, at low volume — because that is how most music is actually lived with. When the glue has cured and the oil has settled into the pores, each pair is played in for one hundred hours before it is matched, numbered, and boxed.
